Piling on the Berkman study
We’ve had our turn knocking down the Berkman broadband study and even responded to Yochai Benkler’s response, but Mark Goldberg has done a great job of summarizing the latest brutal critiques. Here’s an interesting sample of Mark Goldberg’s post:
- NTT weighed in and said that the Berkman study was “factually incorrect and internally inconsistent”, and that it would have been much better if Yochai Benkler or his team had actually interviewed NTT for some facts about NTT and the Japanese broadband market.
- Goldberg also pointed out that the Berkman center ignored its FCC mandate to “conduct an independent expert review of existing literature and studies about broadband deployment and usage throughout the world”.
There’s much more interesting stuff and you should read it at CircleID.
